Halloween Bark (Vegan)
This bark is made up of crunchy, sweet, chocolatey goodness. It is dairy-free, egg-free, easy, and fun to prepare as well as enjoy.
Chocolate bark is one of those simple pleasures in life. It’s easy, fun, and, oh, so irresistible. This Halloween bark hits the simple and easy marks and is perfectly decorated for Halloween. Yum Earth has some amazing vegan candies that were perfect for this recipe, and Utz had the cutest Halloween pretzels that I could not pass up. To hit the Halloween mark, I beheaded a few Teddy Grahams and made some chocolate molds of spiders, bats, and skulls. This bark will be hit at any Halloween gathering.
What you will need:
Chocolate, candy and pretzels are a must for this recipe. I used a combination of dark chocolate and white chocolate to make the bark it self. I used a combination of teddy grahams, pretzels, gummies and other candies to decorate the bark.
- dark chocolate – I used Lindt Excellence 70%
- white chocolate – I used Enjoy Life white chocolate mini baking chips
- Yum Earth Halloween Gummies
- Yum Earth Giggles
- Utz Halloween Pretzels
- Nabisco Chocolate Teddy Grahams
- optional – homemade Halloween chocolate molds
How to:
We will begin by lining a rimmed cookie sheet with parchment paper. The next step is to melt the chocolate. To melt the chocolate, I recommend using a double boiler. If you do not have a double boiler, you can use the microwave. If using the microwave, be careful not to overheat or burn the chocolate. Add the dark chocolate to the double boiler, and melt it over medium heat. Once the chocolate is fully melted, pour it onto the prepared pan and spread it out evenly. Quickly, clean the top portion of the double boiler and reuse it to melt the white chocolate. Drizzle the melted white chocolate over the dark chocolate and swirl it through.
This is where it gets fun: adding the candies, pretzels, and teddy Grahams. I added the pretzels to the bark first and placed them in somewhat of a pattern. Next, I added the Yum Earth Giggles. Some of them were used for eyes for some of the pumpkin pretzels; the rest were scattered across the bark. Next, I added the Yum Earth Halloween Gummies. I scattered those randomly across the bark. For the Chocolate Teddy Grahams, I first separated the heads from the bodies then I placed the bodies randomly across the bark with their heads near by.
I used a mold I purchased from Amazon to create some chocolate Halloween candy decorations. I used Enjoy Life white chocolate mini baking chips, Lindt Oatmilk milk chocolate bar, and Lindt Excellence 70% bar to make the chocolate candies. You can incorporate them into the bark or use them as serving decorations.
Once you are done bringing your Halloween bark together, place it in the refrigerator to set. After it sets, it can be removed from the refrigerator and cut or broken up into random pieces for serving. Keep the bark refrigerated.
Alright, let’s get started. Please make and enjoy!
