Homemade Muscovado Sugar
Looking for a sugar that is very dark, very strong and adds a nice little upgrade to any recipe that calls for brown sugar, give muscovado sugar a try.
- 1 cup cane sugar
- 4 tbsp molasses
Place 1 cup of cane sugar in a bowl, add the 4 tablespoons of molasses to the same bowl and mix until well combined. I use my fingers rather than a fork, it keeps the molasses from clumping up.
Feel free to use less molasses if you are looking for a lighter brown sugar. The 4 tablespoons gives me a very dark, very strong final product. Exactly what I am looking for.
